The Institute has released a number of comparative analyses of insurance policies currently available in the Australian market for accountants, and is encouraging members to use these as a guide to negotiate more favourable policy terms and premiums with their brokers.  
 
The guides are available online, and have been progressively extended and updated since 2003 as an analysis of professional indemnity (PI) products across the range of underwriters active in the PI market for Australian accountants.  
 
For the first time, the Institute has also put together a comparison of criminal proceedings and auditing standards provisions.  
 
These analyses have been compiled with the assistance of senior insurance industry representatives and provide a helpful framework for Chartered Accountants either looking to renew their insurance or who are entering the market for the first time.
